\n\tJohn Oliver<\/a> returned on Last Week Tonight<\/a> to censure myriad moves by President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s administration, including the demolition of the East Wing<\/a> of the White House<\/a> and continued boat strikes in the Caribbean Sea.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe late-night host described Trump\u2019s planned 90,000 square foot ballroom<\/a> \u2014 a $300 million endeavor purportedly to be supported by private donations \u2014 \u201cin a style best described as \u2018medspa Versailles.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe demolition of the White House, a metaphor that, if anything, is too on the nose,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\n\tOliver also condemned the ongoing military strikes against vessels the government alleges are smuggling drugs to the U.S., which now total over eight such attacks<\/a> that have claimed the lives of over 40 people.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe administration\u2019s not provided public evidence for its claims, but even if they have some, I\u2019ve watched enough JAG to know the typical approach to drug boats is to intercept them and arrest the suspects, not murder them with no due process,\u201d the comic said.<\/p>\n

\n\tOliver also addressed Trump telling journalists he is considering land strikes \u201cequivalent of what\u2019s happening by sea\u201d in Venezuela, as the POTUS said he will not ask for a declaration of war from Congress but rather, \u201cWe\u2019re just gonna kill people. They\u2019re going to be, like, dead.\u201d<\/a> <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe kind of chilling statement you expect to hear from a serial killer, or the mastermind behind Panera Bread\u2019s charged lemonade,\u201d Oliver remarked.<\/p>\n
