Naomi Osaka has made another change to her coaching team after calling an end to her 2025 season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Osaka split with main coach Patrick Mouratoglou<\/a> after Wimbledon<\/a> this year, with the pair working together for around 10 months.<\/p>\n

It was not long before the former world number one announced his replacement, with Osaka bringing in Iga Swiatek\u2019s former coach, Tomasz Wiktorowski<\/a>. <\/p>\n

This change has seen some improved results for Osaka, before she suffered a leg injury<\/a> that ended her season at the Japan Open<\/a>, and it has now been confirmed that another member of her team will leave.<\/p>\n

When Mouratoglou<\/a> joined Osaka\u2019s<\/a> team in September last year, he also brought along a strength and conditioning coach from his academy in the form of Guillaume Brunoir.<\/p>\n

Despite Osaka parting ways with Mouratoglou back in July, Brunoir has remained on her team ever since, but it appears that they have now split.<\/p>\n

Brunoir confirmed this in a post on Instagram, writing, \u201cSome chapters are meant to leave a mark. From Los Angeles to Osaka, through every court, every session, every challenge. Quiet focus, fleeting moments, unseen efforts, and the laughter we shared along the way.<\/p>\n

\u201cProud of the work, the growth, and the bond built during these months. Thankful for the path we shared. Ready for the next move.\u201d<\/p>\n

It appears that there are certainly no hard feelings between the pair, as Osaka also wished Brunoir well for his next career move.<\/p>\n

Osaka commented, \u201cThanks for everything. Wishing you the best on what\u2019s to come!\u201d<\/p>\n

How much has Naomi Osaka improved in 2025?<\/p>\n

Although Osaka has not ended her season in the way that she would have wanted, it has still been a much improved year compared to 2024.<\/p>\n

Osaka returned to the WTA Tour<\/a> after giving birth to her first child last year, and she was unable to break back into the top 50.<\/p>\n

However, this year has been a significant improvement for the four-time major winner, with Osaka now the world number 16.<\/p>\n

Perhaps her most notable improvement has come at Grand Slams, where she was unable to surpass the second round in 2024.<\/p>\n

This was particularly prevalent at the most recent major, with Osaka reaching the US Open semifinals<\/a> for the first time since winning the title in 2020.<\/p>\n
