\n\tAfter more than decade since her last studio album, Hilary Duff<\/a> is getting ready to put out new music.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re getting something really soon,\u201d she teased when I caught up with her at Vogue World: Hollywood 2025<\/a> on Sunday night in Los Angeles. \u201cI have been hard at work in the studio with my husband [Matthew Koma] and a few other amazingly talented people. \u201c[My fans] are going to hear something so soon, like in the blink of an eye.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuff, who released her fifth studio album \u201cBreathe In. Breathe Out.\u201d in June 2015, said she had always planned on getting back into the studio. \u201cI always knew I was going to return to music. I needed to feel safe and I needed to have the right people in my corner and be absolutely 100% ready. Honestly, I needed to have 10 years of life under my belt. I needed a lot to say. This album feels like the inner workings of my brain and I really am so excited to connect with people again on that level, that very forward-facing level.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn September, it was announced that Duff had signed with Atlantic Records<\/a>. At the same time, she revealed that she was filming a docuseries about her return to music and her personal life. The docuseries will be directed and executive-produced by Sam Wrench, who has done the same for \u201cA Nonsense Christmas With Sabrina Carpenter\u201d<\/a> and \u201cTaylor Swift: The Eras Tour,\u201d <\/a>through Next of Kin Content.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tDuff, who was spotted chatting with Atlantic Music Group Elliot Grainge and his wife Sofia Richie at Vogue World, was tightlipped about performance plans in support of the new album, but said: \u201cAll of the things are happening. I can\u2019t give up too much information or everyone\u2019s gonna kill me, but I am dancing and\u2026 everything\u2019s in motion. It\u2019s exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen I mentioned her gay fans can\u2019t wait to hear what she\u2019s put together, Duff smiled: \u201cYou know it\u2019s all for them. It\u2019s just to impress them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA little over a week ago, Duff stunned at the Academy Museum Gala<\/a> in a purple Alberta Ferretti\u00a0gown. \u201cThat morning, I was at my daughter\u2019s 7th birthday party on a farm, like in a dusty field,\u201d she recalled, laughing. \u201cEverybody who worked on me were miracle workers. I basically took a bird bath in a hotel room and put that gorgeous gown on.\u201d<\/p>\n
