\n\tThe anticipated spinoff of the French hit show \u201cCall My Agent<\/a>\u201d is bound to have a glamorous flavor. <\/p>\n

\n\tAfter George Clooney<\/a>, who broke the news while promoting \u201cJay Kelly\u201d<\/a> over the weekend that he\u2019ll have a cameo in the Netflix<\/a> original film, Variety has learned that Eva Longoria<\/a> is in talks to appear in the movie which Mediawan<\/a> is producing. <\/p>\n

\n\tNetflix declined to comment on Longoria\u2019s casting, but confirmed Clooney\u2019s involvement alongside a string of popular French actors, including Laurent Lafitte (\u201cThe Count of Monte Cristo\u201d). As previously announced, Laetitia Casta (\u201cConsent\u201d) and Vincent Macaigne (\u201cIrma Vep\u201d) will also star. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe feature, titled \u201cCall My Agent (The Movie),\u201d will also bring back the beloved cast of the International Emmy award-winning series, including Camille Cottin as the fearless and funny talent agent Andr\u00e9a Martel, as well as Laure Calamy, Gr\u00e9gory Montel, Thibault de Montalembert, Nicolas Maury, Fanny Sidney, Liliane Rov\u00e8re, Oph\u00e9lia Kolb and Anne Marivin.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series ended in 2020 with a bittersweet plot twist after four seasons, as Andr\u00e9a retired from the industry to devote herself to family life, grieving over the fate of A.S.K., the talent agency she couldn\u2019t save.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film \u2013 penned by the series\u2019 creator, writer and showrunner, Fanny Herrero \u2014 picks up five years later, and sees Andr\u00e9a back in the business, but this time behind the camera, as an emerging director. But there\u2019s still some drama involved, in typical Andrea style. \u201cWhen she loses her lead actor just days before shooting starts, she has to bring her old team back together, sparking old friendships \u2014 and rivalries,\u201d says the synopsis.<\/p>\n

\n\tMost of the French key cast of \u201cCall My Agent\u201d broke through thanks to their performances in the show and saw their careers take off. Cottin, for instance, has become one of France\u2019s best-known actors who\u2019s worked with international filmmakers such as Michael Mann (\u201cAllied\u201d), Ridley Scott (\u201cHouse of Gucci\u201d), Tom McCarthy (\u201cStillwater\u201d) and showrunner Phoebe Waller-Bridge (\u201cKilling Eve\u201d). Calamy, meanwhile, won a Cesar Award for her role in \u201cAntoinette dans les C\u00e9vennes\u201d in 2020 and has since been nominated twice in the best actress category, in 2022 and 2023. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCall My Agent\u201d has also become a cultural phenomenon, sparking local versions in a number of countries with top talent attached, including the U.K.<\/a>, Spain<\/a>, Italy, <\/a>Germany<\/a>, South Korea, Indonesia, the Middle East, Philippines, Malaysia and Poland.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is produced by Mediawan-owned Mon Voisin Productions and Mother Production, with the participation of French broadcaster France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions.
