“In New York they had some crazy stat, because you know they throw people in jail, and then they\u2019re out the next day. Some crazy percentage of crimes\u2026 was from 600 people who just over and over, did like 80% of it,” Maher said during the podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n Actor Charlie Sheen<\/a>, Maher’s guest, said New York could build a place just for the repeat offenders and call it the “600 Building.”<\/p>\n “This is why Republicans get elected, because Democrats run cities and they don\u2019t do that. And it would be so easy to do that, but then there\u2019s a certain part of their constituency that wouldn\u2019t like it,” Maher said.<\/p>\n “Real Time” host Bill Maher. I mean, call me crazy, I don\u2019t think crime should be a career,” Maher added.<\/p>\n Sheen agreed and added, “or should be allowed to become one.”<\/p>\n Maher, who has supported Democratic candidates, has issued frequent criticisms of the party in recent years.
