The smaller version of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro<\/a> has finally landed. After being teased at launch and spotted in official materials, the Black Gold 44mm model is on sale in a number of countries including the US, UK and China. The Arctic-Gold variant is expected to land in the first half of November.<\/p>\n

A more compact take on the rugged watch<\/p>\n

This is not a new watch, just a more compact version of the one released in early September. The 48mm model has been available globally for more than a month, but the 44mm variant has been missing in action until now. Zepp Health confirmed back at IFA that both sizes would launch, but didn\u2019t offer a clear date.<\/p>\n

Despite the smaller footprint, the 44mm model doesn\u2019t cut corners. You still get the full titanium and sapphire glass build, dual-band GPS, offline maps, a real LED flashlight, speaker and mic, music storage, Zepp OS 5.0, along with support for BioCharge and advanced sports modes.<\/p>\n

You do get a smaller display, 1.32 inches versus 1.5 inches on the larger variant. And there\u2019s a difference in weight, battery capacity (640mAh vs 700mAh) and strap width (20mm vs 22mm).<\/p>\n

In terms of pricing, that stays the same. As expected, the 44mm model carries the identical $399 price tag as the larger one.<\/p>\n

This is the first time we are getting multiple size options for the T-Rex line. Finally something for those with slimmer wrists. So if that\u2019s what you have been waiting for, you now have the option.<\/p>\n

We recently published our hands-on review of the 48mm version<\/a>, so don\u2019t forget to check that out. It takes the solid base of the T-Rex 3 and builds on it in a way that feels more refined. You get better materials with titanium and sapphire. Battery life is still one of its biggest strengths, and features like the BioCharge score, flashlight and built-in speaker add real day-to-day value.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not aiming to compete with Apple or Samsung on smarts. But what it does, it does well. Fitness tracking is reliable, the UI runs smoothly, and it nails the basics that matter most outdoors. Mind you, it\u2019s not cheap, but it\u2019s still a much more affordable option than something like a Garmin Fenix.<\/p>\n
