\n\tJon Stewart<\/a> takes no prisoners during his satirical political commentary on The Daily Show<\/a>, especially during tonight\u2019s episode as he rang the alarm on President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s flirtation with a third term that would skirt constitutionality.<\/p>\n

\n\tFaking emotionality, the political comic spent the majority of his first segment cracking sarcastic jokes about how ungrateful the American populace is toward the GOP leader.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe just wants to save his country, and all he asks for in return is a little bit of total, unquestioning fealty and a few billion dollars in influence money and new forms of currency. This poor bastard,\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n

\n\tCommenting that Trump loves the \u201cpomp and circumstance\u201d during his overseas visits, Stewart said, \u201cBut what do we do when he comes home? \u2018Beef is too expensive! My healthcare bankrupted me! Where\u2019s my abuela?\u2019 Poor little billionaire president.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe continued, \u201cEverything he does for us, we have a problem with. What\u2019s the one thing that we\u2019ve wanted in this country for as long as I can remember? An outsized ballroom.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe are taking the joy out of this thing,\u201d Stewart remarked. \u201cAnd then, as sad as he gets, when he goes to blow off a little steam by blowing up some boats<\/a>: nag, nag, nag. \u2018Which one of you murdered those people without due process? Ooh, was it you? You get detention.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShowing a spliced video of Trump\u2019s abysmal treatment of reporters who deign to ask confrontational questions, Stewart added, \u201cOur constant complaining is turning him into the worst version of himself. He doesn\u2019t want to be this person. Everyone knows a healthy relationship is a relationship where one person gets to do whatever they want, whenever they want, even if some of that shit\u2019s illegal, and the other person has to eat it, just eat it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAt this point, Stewart turned his attention toward Trump\u2019s floating of a third term \u2014 something he\u2019s said he\u2019d \u201clove to do.\u201d<\/a> Former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon has claimed publicly that there is a \u201cplan\u201d<\/a> to violate the 22nd Amendment for such a term.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe\u2019s doing it! \u2018I haven\u2019t thought about it.\u2019 That\u2019s the tell for whenever he\u2019s asked about something that he is definitely going to do that is dubious legally, ethically or morally,\u201d Stewart said. \u201cHe says he hasn\u2019t thought about it, but of course, we know he\u2019s thought about it because he already has the merch.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe host also addressed Trump saying he would not bend the amendment via the VP route<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe\u2019s the kind of guy who\u2019s like, \u2018I respect Americans too much to play games. If I\u2019m gonna run again, I\u2019m gonna rip off the Constitution\u2019s head and shit down its neck.\u2019 And truth is, indications are very clear he\u2019s going to do it because you don\u2019t move into a house, knock down a wing and build a 90,000 square foot ballroom for the next guy,\u201d Stewart added. \u201cHe\u2019s in it for the long haul.\u201d<\/p>\n
