The legendary PS2 celebrated its 25th anniversary in North America over the weekend, and Sony\u2019s social media tribute bordered on insulting.<\/p>\n

The company took the opportunity to promote its PS Plus Premium<\/strong><\/a> retro games, which makes sense, until you realise it\u2019s missing many of the system\u2019s most memorable releases.<\/p>\n

The trailer focuses on the likes of Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy<\/a>, Mister Mosquito<\/a>, Dark Cloud<\/a>, Siren<\/a>, and Sly Cooper<\/a>. All great games!<\/p>\n

But as fans have pointed out in the replies, there are so many incredible PS2 games missing from the selection, including God of War<\/a>, Ratchet & Clank<\/a>, ICO<\/a>, and Twisted Metal Black<\/a> to name just a few.<\/p>\n

To be fair, SoulCalibur 3<\/a> and Tomb Raider Anniversary<\/a> have been announced for the service, and are due out in the coming months.<\/p>\n

We also think it\u2019s positive Sony\u2019s stuck with this retro initiative, and continued to iterate on its emulator and bring more classic games to its contemporary consoles.<\/p>\n

But we don\u2019t think we\u2019re being greedy to ask for more.<\/p>\n

The rollout of these retro releases has been glacially paced, and there\u2019s still so much the company could make readily available on the PS Store<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s hoping it\u2019s not ignoring the criticism and begins to expedite the addition of these classic games.<\/p>\n
