Posts across social media described the appearance as a possible \u201csoft launch<\/a>\u201d of Damson Idris as the next T\u2019Challa. <\/p>\n

Another viral caption stating<\/a> \u201cyeah that\u2019s T\u2019challa\u201d has gained more than 1.5 million views. Additional photos showed Bassett and Idris posing with others in suits and traditional outfits under stage lights, fueling fan theories of an intentional Marvel Studios tease.<\/p>\n

The discussion stems from ongoing rumors that Marvel may recast or reimagine the character following Chadwick Boseman\u2019s passing. Earlier reports linked Idris to talks with Marvel about the role, though the actor had previously joked<\/a> online that he \u201cturned down 007, a co-lead film with Daniel Day-Lewis and an Eddie Murphy biopic.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a television interview cited by Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, the host asked Idris if he had \u201cany conversations\u201d about becoming the next Black Panther. Idris responded with \u201cYes-no!\u201d but also confirmed he would take the role if given the opportunity.<\/p>\n
