JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office is searching for a man who fled on foot in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Tuesday at the intersection of Gold Star Family Parkway on Pecan Park Road.<\/p>\n

JSO said 5:54 a.m., a Chevrolet S-10 was headed east on Gold Star Family Parkway, and at the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado was headed west on the same road.<\/p>\n

JSO said the Silverado made a left turn on southbound Pecan Park Road in front of the S-10, causing a collision.<\/p>\n

The S10 driver, a 24-year-old man, was taken to a hospital where he died, JSO said.<\/p>\n

The Silverado driver got out of his vehicle and attended to the victim for a moment, and then he fled the area on foot, police said. He is described as approximately 5\u20326\u2033, medium build, with short black hair in his late 20s or early 30s. <\/p>\n

The JSO K-9 and drone unit searched the area, but could not find the man.<\/p>\n
