Light the World in Teal 2025 is the world\u2019s largest-ever organized collective light-up for a single cause.<\/p>\n<p>The annual program, held in November as part of Alzheimer\u2019s Awareness Month, aims to literally shine a spotlight on Alzheimer\u2019s disease and show support for the millions of people affected by it. Teal is AFA\u2019s Alzheimer\u2019s awareness color.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Participating Houston landmarks include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Houston City Hall<\/li>\n<li>JP Morgan Chase Tower<\/li>\n<li>Daikin Park<\/li>\n<li>William P. Hobby Airport<\/li>\n<li>George Bush International Airport<\/li>\n<li>Ellington Airport\/Spaceport<\/li>\n<li>Houston Aquarium Ferris Wheel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful to have some of Houston\u2019s most high-profile sites raising awareness and supporting the millions of people affected by Alzheimer\u2019s disease,\u201d said AFA President &amp; CEO Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. \u201cFrom large skyscrapers and stadiums to small town halls, every landmark that lights up teal on November 3 brightens the spotlight on Alzheimer\u2019s awareness across the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Houston landmarks are among more than 1,500 sites in all 50 states and 13 other countries\/territories \u201cgoing teal\u201d for Alzheimer\u2019s awareness on Nov. 3.\u00a0This is the 12th year of AFA\u2019s Light the World in Teal campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals can also participate in raising Alzheimer\u2019s awareness by \u201cgoing teal\u201d on their own November 3. You can wear teal or even use social media to raise awareness.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 7 million Americans, including more than 450,000 Texans, are currently living with Alzheimer\u2019s disease.
