{"id":339944,"date":"2025-10-29T04:33:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T04:33:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/339944\/"},"modified":"2025-10-29T04:33:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T04:33:13","slug":"andy-roddick-says-its-not-normal-whats-happening-to-jannik-sinner-following-his-win-over-alexander-zverev-in-vienna","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/339944\/","title":{"rendered":"Andy Roddick says it&#8217;s &#8216;not normal&#8217; what&#8217;s happening to Jannik Sinner following his win over Alexander Zverev in Vienna"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>   <a class=\"fw\" href=\"https:\/\/profile.google.com\/cp\/Cg0vZy8xMXlnMTNoeXE4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"28\" height=\"28\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/wp-content\/themes\/grv-media\/img\/google-discover.svg\" alt=\"\"\/> Follow us on Google Discover <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Jannik Sinner picked up another ATP title last time out in Vienna.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Travelling to Austria as the number one seed, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/jannik-sinner-hailed-for-doing-something-absolutely-extraordinary-during-his-first-round-match-in-vienna\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sinner defeated Daniel Altmaier<\/a>, Flavio Cobolli, Alexander Bublik, and Alex de Minaur on his way to the final.<\/p>\n<p>There, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/alexander-zverev-sends-message-to-jannik-sinner-on-social-media-after-losing-to-him-in-the-vienna-open-final\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sinner beat Alexander Zverev<\/a> in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, to win the Vienna Open for the second time in three years.<\/p>\n<p>The win was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sinner\u2019s<\/a> third in a row against the German, as he tied their head-to-head record at 4-4.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/GettyImages-2243444013-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Jannik Sinner poses with the trophy after winning the 2025 Vienna Open title\" class=\"wp-image-139419\" \/>Photo by Christian Bruna\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>He didn\u2019t have things all his own way, however, dropping the first set against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/alexander-zverev\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zverev<\/a>, who looked to have Sinner on the ropes early on.<\/p>\n<p>Weighing in with his thoughts on the Vienna Open final, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/andy-roddick\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Andy Roddick<\/a> has claimed the way people react to Sinner\u2019s matches is \u2018not normal\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Andy Roddick says that fans being surprised by Jannik Sinner winning in three sets is \u2018not normal\u2019<\/p>\n<p>During the latest episode of \u2018Served with Andy Roddick\u2019, the former world number one gave his verdict on Sinner\u2019s three-set win over Zverev.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Jannik] Sinner won this week. Nuts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know someone is good when you see the scoreline and think he had a tough one, he almost lost to the number three in the world, that\u2019s crazy.
