Fans of legendary rock bands Chicago<\/a> and Kansas<\/a> and country artist Dwight Yoakam<\/a> can see each artist perform live in November at the 1st Summit Arena in Johnstown.<\/p>\n

Chicago’s “Live in Concert” tour comes to Johnstown Nov. 6. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the 1st Summit Arena website<\/a> or by calling the arena’s box office at 814-536-5156 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.<\/p>\n

The band’s rock ‘n roll and brass sound has entertained audiences for 58 years with songs like “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day,” “25 or 6 to 4,” “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?,” “Beginnings,” “If You Leave Me Now” and “Hard Habit to Break.”<\/p>\n

Chicago has toured America every year of its existence and is the first American rock band to have albums reach Top 40 status in six consecutive decades, according to the concert announcement<\/a> at the 1st Summit Arena website.<\/p>\n

Original Chicago band members Robert Lamm (keyboards and vocals), Lee Loughnane (trumpet and vocals) and James Pankow (trombone) are joined by Wally Reyes Jr. (drums), Tony Obrohta (guitar), Loren Gold (keyboards and vocals), Ray Herrmann (sax and flute), Neil Donell (vocals), Eric Baines (bass) and Ramon “Ray” Yslas (percussion).<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh-area fans<\/a> can also see Chicago in concert at 8 p.m. Nov. 5 at the UPMC Events Center in Moon Township. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are available through the band’s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yoakam will bring his “The Cosmic Roundup & Rodeo Tour”<\/a> to Johnstown Nov. 7.<\/p>\n

Yoakam has sold more than 25 million records and charted over 30 singles<\/a> on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs since his first single, “Honky Tonk Man,” and album “Guitars, Cadillacs” were released in 1986. His latest album, “Brighter Days,” was released in November 2024.<\/p>\n

Philip Bowen<\/a>, a singer\/songwriter and fiddler from West Virginia, is appearing with Yoakam on this part of the tour.<\/p>\n

Kansas will perform live in concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at the 1st Summit Arena in Johnstown. The evening will also include performances by country rock band Pure Prairie League and members of The Clarks.<\/p>\n

The band from Topeka, known for songs like “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind,” are celebrating 50 years together with a nationwide tour<\/a> that includes a Nov. 13 concert in Johnstown.<\/p>\n

“Carry On Wayward Son” is among the five most-played songs on classic rock radio and “Dust in the Wind” has played on the radio more than 3 million times, according to the band’s biography <\/a>at the 1st Summit Arena website.<\/p>\n

In addition to its 16 studio albums and five live albums, Kansas has introduced new listeners through video games (“Rock Band,” “Guitar Hero” and “Grand Theft Auto”), television shows (“Supernatural,” “South Park,” “The Office”) and films (“Old School,” “Anchorman,” “Pitch Perfect” and “Happy Gilmore”).<\/p>\n

Joining Kansas will be the country rock band Pure Prairie League<\/a> and Scott Blasey, Rob James and Greg Joseph of Pittsburgh-area band The Clarks<\/a>.<\/p>\n
