The women&#8217;s 6K race will start at 10 a.m. ET and the men&#8217;s 8K race will begin at 11 a.m. ET, with both taking place at Ocean County Park.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>MEET INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Date &amp; Time: Friday, Oct. 31 | 10 a.m. ET (Women&#8217;s 6K) | 11 a.m. ET (Men&#8217;s 8K)<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Location: Ocean County Park | Lakewood, New Jersey<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Championship Central: <a href=\"https:\/\/caasports.com\/tournaments\/?id=248\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CAASports.com<\/a><\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>WHAT TO KNOW \u2013 ELON WOMEN<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Elon&#8217;s women will seek their sixth CAA Championship title in the past seven years, having won five in a row from 2019-23 before finishing third last season in head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/coaches\/mark-rinker\/1526\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1526\" target=\"_blank\">Mark Rinker<\/a>&#8216;s first year at the program&#8217;s helm.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Elon owns five of the top six \u2013 and six of the top 10 \u2013 6K times in the conference this season, including redshirt junior <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-cross-country\/roster\/katie-blount\/10992\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10992\" target=\"_blank\">Katie Blount&#8217;s<\/a> school record 19:37.1 at the Paul Short Run on Oct. 3, which is more than 33 seconds faster than the next best mark by a CAA runner. <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-cross-country\/roster\/abby-beville\/10991\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10991\" target=\"_blank\">Abby Beville<\/a> (3rd, 20:33.6), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-cross-country\/roster\/hannah-weber\/10640\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10640\" target=\"_blank\">Hannah Weber<\/a> (4th, 20:56.3), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-cross-country\/roster\/jasmine-young\/11006\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"11006\" target=\"_blank\">Jasmine Young<\/a> (5th, 21:11.6), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-cross-country\/roster\/sarah-petitjean\/10630\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10630\" target=\"_blank\">Sarah Petitjean<\/a> (6th, 21:13.2) and <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-cross-country\/roster\/madi-galindo\/10995\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10995\" target=\"_blank\">Madi Galindo<\/a> (9th, 21:19.5) also own top 10 times in the conference this fall.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Blount was voted as the CAA Runner of the Week three times this season, winning the award twice outright on Sept. 23 and Oct. 7 while sharing the honor on Oct. 21. Beville also shared the weekly award once on Sept. 2 after winning the Elon Opener 4K.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Blount (20:10.1) and Beville (20:33.6) placed fourth and eighth, respectively, at the Panorama Farms Invitational 6K in Elon&#8217;s last race, helping lead the Phoenix to a third-place finish overall.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Three active Phoenix have previously earned All-CAA honors \u2013 which requires a top-15 individual finish at the CAA Championships \u2013 including Blount (2022, 2023), Beville (2024), Weber (2024).<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Three Phoenix have won the CAA Championship individual title, including Maria Ahm, who went back-to-back in 2020 \u2013 which saw her set a CAA Championship record with a 19:37.3 finish \u2013 and 2021. Coralea Geraniotis and Scolasticah Kemei also won individual titles in 2018 and 2019, respectively.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>WHAT TO KNOW \u2013 ELON MEN<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>The Phoenix most recently placed 13th overall at the Panorama Farms Invitational (Oct. 17), and 18th at the Paul Short Run (Oct. 3).<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Junior <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/joe-lavelle\/10605\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10605\" target=\"_blank\">Joe Lavelle<\/a> owns Elon&#8217;s top 8K time this season with a 25:35.9 finish at the Paul Short Run. <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/juan-pablo-castillo-zima\/10986\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10986\" target=\"_blank\">Juan Pablo Castillo-Zima<\/a> (25:56.4), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/jack-kane\/10976\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10976\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Kane<\/a> (25:56.5), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/luke-chisum\/10987\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10987\" target=\"_blank\">Luke Chisum<\/a> (26:14.7), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/franklin-wimbish\/10989\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10989\" target=\"_blank\">Franklin Wimbish<\/a> (26:31.1) and <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/caden-strickland\/10982\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10982\" target=\"_blank\">Caden Strickland<\/a> (26:31.3) have posted the Phoenix&#8217;s next five fastest 8K times.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Three of Elon&#8217;s top six 8K times are owned by freshmen \u2013 Castillo-Zima, Chisum and Wimbish \u2013 showing promise for what lies ahead for the men&#8217;s program.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Redshirt junior <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/mens-cross-country\/roster\/evan-taylor\/10611\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10611\" target=\"_blank\">Evan Taylor<\/a> is the team&#8217;s lone athlete who has previously earned All-CAA honors, having finished 13th in last year&#8217;s CAA Championship 8K race.
