\u201cI hate that song, by the way,\u201d Mars told\u00a0GQ\u00a0in 2013, referring to\u00a0The Lazy Song<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s kept the joke alive over the years too, once sharing a clip on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0captioned: \u201cWhen someone tells me they actually like\u00a0The Lazy Song\u00a0\u2026\u201d followed by a deadpan stare straight into the camera.<\/p>\n

That same \u201clazy\u201d little anthem, however, just hit Diamond status (10x Platinum), proving fans still can\u2019t resist its laid-back charm, even if the man who wrote it can.<\/p>\n
