PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 With more than 900,000 people expected to to lose benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), some local restaurants and businesses are stepping up to offer free or discounted meals to those in need.<\/p>\n
The Coronado PHX<\/b><\/p>\n
The Coronado is a multi-award winning Vegan Eatery established in 2015 with a menu that is 100% plant based and dishes are prepared daily.<\/p>\n
They recently announced their \u201cPay it Forward\u201d option <\/a>that will allow locals to by a burrito and a side of chips and salsa for someone in need. <\/p>\n These meals will be available for anyone with a SNAP\/EBT card starting November 1st from 1pm-5pm daily. <\/p>\n The Coronado PHX is located at 2245 N 12th St. Phoenix <\/p>\n LoveBite Dumplings <\/b><\/p>\n Lovebite Dumplings is a steamed fast food concept, dedicated to celebrating local design and good food. <\/p>\n The owners announced that they will be offering free meals<\/a> for anyone with an EBT or SNAP card from November 1 to November 8. <\/p>\n LoveBite Dumplings is located at 116 E Roosevelt St., Phoenix <\/p>\n King Pigeon <\/b><\/p>\n King Pigeon offers a curated grab-bag of vintage and thrift clothing, knickknacks, housewares, weird odds & ends, guitars, and other musical equipment.<\/p>\n Locals will be able to provide and or get help at King Pigeon as people who donate any non-perishable items will get a 10% discount. <\/p>\n They will also be holding an event on Saturday, where people who are impacted by SNAP freezes can stop by and pick up a sandwich kit. <\/a><\/p>\n King Pigeon is located at 4739 N Central Ave, Phoenix <\/p>\n Baked Chemistry Vegan Cafe: <\/b><\/p>\n a \u2018Chemistry Community Plate<\/a>\u2019 will be available for locals on a \u2018pay-what-you can\u2019 meal offering for those in need.
