\n\tRamsey Naito is the latest executive at Paramount to depart the studio as CEO David Ellison<\/a> continues his leadership shakeup. <\/p>\n

\n\tNaito, who has been the president of Paramount Animation<\/a> since September 2021<\/a>, shared in a message to employees Wednesday evening, \u201cI want to share\u00a0with you that I am leaving the\u00a0company and closing this very special chapter with all of you. Leading this incredible team of talented storytellers, artists and dreamers, and watching the magic that\u00a0you\u2019ve\u00a0spun from your imagination and dedication, has been one of the great joys of my career.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBefore leading the studio\u2019s animation division, she was previously the head of\u00a0Nickelodeon\u00a0Animation. During her time with Paramount and Nickelodeon, she oversaw the franchise expansions of PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, Smurfs, Baby Shark, Rugrats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers, among others.<\/p>\n

\n\tNaito\u2019s exit comes as Ellison begins major layoffs<\/a> at the studio following the\u00a0Skydance-Paramount merger in August. In his memo to staff Wednesday morning regarding the cuts, he wrote, \u201cIn some areas, we are addressing redundancies that have emerged across the organization. In others, we are phasing out roles that are no longer aligned with our evolving priorities and the new structure designed to strengthen our focus on growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tI am so\u00a0proud\u00a0of the work the animation teams and I have done for the last 8+ years. I am honored to have given new life and love to the beloved characters and stories within the vast Paramount and Nickelodeon libraries\u2014from\u00a0SpongeBob\u00a0to\u00a0PAW Patrol\u00a0to\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles\u2014and the birth of a whole new slate of originals for today\u2019s generation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tNot only am I endlessly proud of what we\u2019ve built, but even more so the spirit behind it \u2014 the collaboration, creativity, and kindness that define this team. Though I\u2019m moving on, I\u2019ll always be cheering you on (and singing along to the\u00a0PAW Patrol\u00a0theme or humming the\u00a0TMNT\u00a0riff when I see your work lighting up screens everywhere).<\/p>\n
