{"id":343172,"date":"2025-10-30T13:04:16","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T13:04:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/343172\/"},"modified":"2025-10-30T13:04:16","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T13:04:16","slug":"eight-year-old-boy-dies-following-head-on-e-bike-crash-on-the-sunshine-coast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/343172\/","title":{"rendered":"Eight-year-old boy dies following head-on e-bike crash on the Sunshine Coast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">A young boy has died in hospital after a collision between two e-bikes on the Sunshine Coast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Queensland Police said a 15-year-old male rider and an eight-year-old male rider crashed on a bike path near the Kawana Way and Sunshine Motorway interchange at Mountain Creek around 3:30pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Police said they were travelling in opposite directions and the collision was head-on.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The younger boy was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a life-threatening condition but later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Police said the older boy refused medical treatment and was assisting with their inquiries<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has relevant footage to come forward.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A young boy has died in hospital after a collision between two e-bikes on the Sunshine Coast.
