\t\t\t\t\tOverview: Festival in Ramona<\/p>\n

Ramona has a plethora of artists who live in wine country among the vineyards and are part of the inspiration for this festival.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In many ways, art and wine have come to define Ramona.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve visited Ramona lately, you\u2019ll have noticed many vineyards lining the roads and bright, colorful murals on buildings throughout the town commemorating harvest time. <\/p>\n

If you\u2019re in the Ramona area this Saturday, you can sample both \u2013 the Ramona Art, Wine & Music Festival<\/a> is well worth checking out. This year\u2019s festival will take place on November 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Begent Ranch<\/a>, 18528 Highland Valley Road.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To date,\u00a0more than\u00a030 murals on buildings and 17 mini-murals on local utility boxes have been commissioned and displayed throughout the town.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Winery owner and vintner Elaine Lyttleton founded the Ramona H.E.A.R.T. Mural Project<\/a> to celebrate Ramona\u2019s present and future as well as its rich cultural heritage.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Ramona has a plethora of artists who live in wine country among the vineyards and are part of the inspiration for this festival. The festival\u00a0celebrates those artists and their murals. <\/p>\n

It is also an artistic toast to Ramona\u2019s harvest season, where every pour and painting tells a story.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Wineries and craft beverage makers will be featuring tastings. New to the festival this year are food vendors and trucks. They will be on site to supply food for purchase.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The murals are partially funded and maintained by the proceeds of this festival.\n<\/p>\n

Every year, a Ramona artist is selected to have their artwork displayed on the cover of the official\u00a0festival program.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Terry Truett, this year\u2019s featured artist, will also have some signed and numbered copies of her painting available for sale. Comedian Josh Lawson will auction off Truett\u2019s original art along with other pieces of furniture and wine barrels from local artists. <\/p>\n

You can find her art on the Art, Wine & Music Festival website<\/a>, under the \u201cArtist Hall of Fame\u201d section.<\/p>\n

The Ramona Music Alliance<\/a> will bring a lineup of local musicians to the multiple music stages throughout the property.\u00a0Bring your dancing shoes and enjoy music on the grassy mesa overlooking beautiful Ramona Grasslands.<\/p>\n

Tickets can be purchased here<\/a>. Regular entry is $70 and includes wine and craft beverage tasting, live music, food for purchase, shopping, a wine glass, a festival program, a winery map, and complimentary water.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cDesignated driver\u201d tickets are also available for $55 and include all the benefits of a regular ticket except for wine and craft beverage tasting. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 more.<\/p>\n

This is an adult event for those 21 and older; photo ID is required at the registration table. <\/p>\n

No pets are allowed, and no physical tickets will be issued.<\/p>\n
