PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Exposing children to new arts and cultures is the goal of one Valley nonprofit, and that is Something Good!<\/p>\n

Over 100 students in grades K-6 from Title I schools across the Valley got to check out their first Native American song-and-dance performance. Students piled into the Madison Center of the Arts to see a world-renowned performance from Shelley Morningsong<\/a> and Fabian Fontenelle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The nonprofit Act One<\/a> aims to provide access to the arts for Arizona children and families through field trips, culture passes and virtual reality field trips. This performance was part of the nonprofit\u2019s 2025-26 in-person field trip kickoff.<\/p>\n

Through music and dance, kids had a chance to be immersed in Native American stories.<\/p>\n

\"AA Valley nonprofit hosted a Native American song and dance performance for students from Title I schools.(Arizona’s Family)<\/p>\n

A study from the University of Arkansas<\/a> showed that students who attended at least three arts-related field trips in a year had higher exam scores, higher course grades and fewer behavioral issues than students who were not given these experiences.<\/p>\n
