Floyd Roger Myers Jr., who rose to fame for his role as a young Will Smith on \u201cThe Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,\u201d has died<\/a>. <\/p>\n

He was 42. <\/p>\n

The actor died of a heart attack at his home in Maryland early Wednesday morning, his mother, Renee Trice, confirmed to TMZ<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Trice, who last spoke to her son Tuesday night, revealed he suffered three heart attacks in the last three years.<\/p>\n

The actor\u2019s sister, Tyree Trice, also announced his passing via a GoFundMe page, revealing the fatal heart attack was \u201cunexpected\u201d and \u201csudden.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a devoted father, loving brother and friend whose kindness, laughter and warmth touched everyone he met,\u201d Tyree wrote of her older brother.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoger leaves behind his four beautiful children \u2014 Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox \u2014 and our loving family is now facing the unimaginable loss of someone who meant everything to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

He rose to fame in 1992 with his role of a young Will Smith in \u201cThe Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.\u201d Warner BRos<\/p>\n

Myers first stepped into the limelight with his role as a young Will Smith in \u201cThe Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,\u201d per his IMDb page. <\/p>\n

He went on to play Marlon Jackson in \u201cThe Jacksons: An American Dream,\u201d starring along legendary actors like Angela Bassett, Vanessa Williams and Billy Dee Williams.<\/p>\n

His last acting credit was in 2000 when he appeared in \u201cYoung Americans,\u201d which ran for only one season. <\/p>\n

The organization took to Instagram<\/a> on Wednesday to honor Myers after his untimely passing, sharing a photo of him with his four young children.<\/p>\n

\u201cNext mens meeting will be one for the books like we talked about! Love you bro, rest easy, big bro will take it from here.\u201d<\/p>\n
