(NYSE: TXT) announced that Danny Maldonado has been appointed president and CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bellflight.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Link opens in new window (Fort Worth-based Bell)\" rel=\"noopener\">Fort Worth-based Bell<\/a>, effective Jan. 4.<\/p>\n<p>Maldonado, Bell\u2019s chief commercial officer, will succeed Lisa Atherton, who has been named president and CEO of Textron Inc.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDanny is a proven leader with a long track record of success at Bell,\u201d Textron Chairman and CEO Scott Donnelly said in a statement. \u201cHe will lead Bell at an important time as we accelerate activity on the MV-75 program and continue to invest in leading commercial helicopter programs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bell announced last year that it would base its <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthinc.com\/commentary\/fort-worth-continues-playing-its-proper-part-in-bell-announc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MV-75 program in Fort Worth<\/a> with a new factory in AllianceTexas, a $632 million investment.<\/p>\n<p>As CCO, Maldonado oversees Bell\u2019s global commercial aircraft sales, aftermarket solutions, the Bell Training Academy, and new product development.<\/p>\n<p>His career with Textron began in 1990, during which he has held leadership roles in sales, business development, customer support, and finance. Prior to his current position, he served as president and CEO of Textron Financial Corp. for nine years and previously as Bell\u2019s executive vice president of sales and marketing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.textron.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Link opens in new window (Textron Inc.)\" rel=\"noopener\">Textron Inc.<\/a>\u2019s portfolio includes brands such as Bell, Cessna, Beechcraft, Hawker, Pipistrel, Jacobsen, Kautex, Lycoming, E-Z-GO, and Textron Systems.<\/p>\n<p>Maldonaldo has degree from St. Mary&#8217;s in San Antonio and an EMBA from TCU.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Textron Inc.
