PHOENIX \u2014 Halloween lands on a Friday this year, and experts anticipate roads to be especially dangerous.\u00a0New data\u00a0<\/a>shows one of the top 10 riskiest stretches of road in the United States is in Phoenix.\u00a0<\/p>\n Real-time driving data showed the stretch of I-17 northbound to the Carefree Highway is the city\u2019s most hazardous stretch. It comes in as the sixth-most-hazardous in the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n The data from Allstate Drivewise customers found speeding and hard braking on the I-17 and Carefree Highway are the worst between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekends, according to Brian Tidwell, an Allstate Safety Manager.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThere’s some exits, there’s some pinch points, there’s things along the lines where those type of things have been happening,” Tidwell said. “It’s just an extra time where we can take a second and say, hey, listen, we’re going to slow down a little bit. \u201c<\/p>\n The National Safety Council also found that more weekend driving leads to more serious crashes.
