PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — This week on FYI Philly, we are satisfying the body and soul with delicious fusion dishes and Chilean treats, a ‘Brew Crew’ serving coffee with a greater cause and a yoga workout that will leave you smiling.<\/p>\n
Doho<\/strong> is a new restaurant serving upscale casual food fusing Latin and Asian flavors in Mount Airy.<\/p>\n The eatery shares a kitchen and a building with Catering by Design, a long-running boutique catering business. Peter Loevy owns both businesses and opened the restaurant in September after years of noodling the idea.<\/p>\n Executive Chef Roth Perelman runs the kitchen for the catering and created the menu for the restaurant.<\/p>\n The space includes a 39-seat dining area and a 7-seat bar with a list of craft cocktails and local brews.<\/p>\n Doho <\/a>| Facebook <\/a>| Instagram<\/a><\/strong> The Raging Bull <\/strong>in Pennsauken gives South Jersey a new spot for high quality cheesesteaks, smashburgers, and milkshakes.<\/p>\n Owner Eric Adili grew up in the business, working at his father’s restaurant, The Fat Tomato, in Berlin, for over 20 years.<\/p>\n Eric says customers will discover a difference in the taste of his steaks, fries, and other menu items, that he credits to cooking everything in beef tallow instead of seed oils.<\/p>\n Open 11a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday<\/p>\n The Raging Bull<\/a> | Facebook<\/a> | Instagram<\/a><\/strong> Copihue Bakehouse<\/strong> is Cote Tapia-Marmugi’s love letter to her native country.<\/p>\n Cote calls the bakery Chile-ish because, though she was born in Chile, she was raised in the United States.<\/p>\n At Copihue, you’ll find chocolate chip cookies and scones alongside a classic Chilean lemon meringue pie, with a shortbread-like crust.<\/p>\n You can get snickerdoodles and mini cupcakes along with the 10 layer mil hojas. It’s one of the most traditional Chilean cakes and, by far, Cote’s top seller.<\/p>\n Along with the sweets, she makes savories like cheese empanadas and avocado toast on Irish soda bread and everything is vegetarian.<\/p>\n Copihue is open Thursday-Sunday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.<\/p>\n Copihue Bakehouse<\/a><\/strong> | <\/strong>Instagram<\/a><\/strong> Bean Ability Coffee Cafe<\/strong> was created by Anne Leopold last year in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n The cafe offers a volunteer program that enables individuals with disabilities to develop workplace skills in a supportive environment and help them form meaningful relationships.<\/p>\n Every day, a person with a disability comes in to help a barista who assists them in gaining those workplace skills.<\/p>\n Anne created Bean Ability through her non-profit Emmaus Home, which she founded in 2015 on behalf of her son, Kevin, who has autism. The non-profit Emmaus Home provides integrated housing for adults with disabilities.<\/p>\n She hopes the cafe serves as a space for the community, for both those with and without a disability.<\/p>\n Bean Ability Coffee Cafe<\/a> | Facebook <\/a>| Instagram<\/a><\/strong> Laughter Yoga<\/strong> is a growing movement in wellness being pioneered in the Philadelphia area by Alexa Fong Drubay, a local practioner, master trainer, and all-around global ambassador for Laughter Yoga.<\/p>\n Founded 30 years ago by a medical doctor in India, Madan Kataria, laughter yoga does not involve poses.
