The wild feud between Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry and LSU athletic director Scott Woodward was a long time coming. <\/p>\n
After Woodward fired LSU football coach Brian Kelly last week<\/a>, Landry blasted Woodward in a press conference and declared that he wouldn\u2019t be involved in hiring the next coach. <\/p>\n Landry and Woodward have long been at odds, according to Yahoo Sports<\/a>, with Landry holding a \u201cpersonal vendetta\u201d against Woodward. <\/p>\n After LSU athletic administrators decided they were firing Kelly, Landry held a meeting at the governor\u2019s mansion with donors and select university administrators to authorize the decision, the outlet reported. <\/p>\n And at that meeting, Landry strongly expressed his desire to have Woodward fired, per the report.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s got it out for him,\u201d a Louisiana political figure told Yahoo Sports. \u201cThis governor picks fights and he never forgets a slight.\u201d <\/p>\n Louisiana Gov.
