Stroud<\/strong> took what the 49ers\u2019 defense gave him and operated the offense at an extremely high level \u2014 something that hasn\u2019t consistently happened in 2025. That inconsistency hasn\u2019t been entirely on Stroud, as the regression around him has made things difficult.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Houston\u2019s defense continues to set the tone each week. It turned into the rookie show, led by <strong>Jayden Higgins<\/strong> and <strong>Jaylin Noel<\/strong>, both of whom stepped up in a big way.
