PHOENIX \u2014 An 84-year-old pedestrian died Thursday night\u00a0<\/a>after he was hit by a vehicle in north Phoenix.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Phoenix Police Department said the fatal incident occurred near 32nd Street and Bell Road at about 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 30. A pedestrian crossed along 32nd Street mid-block and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver remained on scene.<\/p>\n The injured pedestrian was taken to the hospital and later died. He has been identified as Edward Pickles, according to Phoenix police.<\/p>\n Impairment is not suspected of being a factor in causing the collision.
