LAWRENCE, Kan. \u2013<\/strong> The University of Houston men’s and women’s cross country teams both turned in 10th place finishes at the 2025 Big 12 Championship on Friday at Rim Rock Park.

\n\u00a0

\nThe women’s 10th place finish marked the best in program history since joining the league in 2023. The men posted their third-straight 10th place finish at the Big 12 Championship.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Redshirt sophomore Addison Hite<\/a> continued to shine, finishing 45th with a time of 21:00.1 to lead Houston to 10th overall. Sophomore Cadence Patterson<\/a> followed behind in 56th (21:24.3) while sophomore Lily Campos<\/a> clocked 22:02.0 to place 75th.<\/p>\n

Freshman Sophia Nguyen<\/a> crossed the line in 83rd (22:15.7), with sophomore AnnClaire Cop<\/a> rounding out Houston’s top five in 117th (23:13.0).<\/p>\n

Freshman Zac Miller<\/a> extended his streak as the top finisher for the Cougars, coming in 48th overall with a time of 24:31.0. Miller’s 48th-place finish marked Houston’s men’s first top-50 result of the Big 12 era.<\/p>\n

Sophomore Remay Abraha<\/a> was the next Cougar across the line, placing 67th in 25:06.2, followed by junior Patrick Flowers<\/a> in 71st place (25:16.7).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sophomore Caden Thurman<\/a> and junior Aaron Crittenden<\/a> rounded out Houston’s top five in 72nd (25:19.7) and 75th (25:23.0), respectively. \u00a0<\/p>\n
