But since it\u2019s the scariest day of the year, I thought it\u2019d be the perfect time to revisit the scariest golf shot I\u2019ve ever seen on TV.<\/p>\n
Jordan Spieth, Pebble Beach, 2022.<\/p>\n
During the third round, the Texan\u2019s ball came within inches of falling off the cliff of Pebble\u2019s par-4 eighth and he was faced with a decision: hit the shot and risk death or take a drop. And, because he\u2019s Jordan Spieth, it didn\u2019t take long to figure out that there was no world where he wasn\u2019t going to hit the shot.<\/p>\n
Watching this live, I was legitimately nervous\u2014at the same time, I couldn\u2019t look away.<\/p>\n
Spieth shot 63 that day\u2014because of course he did\u2014and ended the week in solo second, two shots behind Tom Hoge.<\/p>\n

That kind of shot is why I\u2019ll always love Spieth.
