Hobby Airport due to staffing issues on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KRIV\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">By the numbers:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">As of 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the FAA was reporting an average delay of 62 minutes at Bush Airport and 65 minutes at Hobby Airport.<\/p>\n<p>  Staffing shortages as government shutdown continues <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KRIV\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Big picture view:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">U.S. Transportation Secretary\u00a0Sean Duffy\u00a0has been warning that travelers will start to see more flight disruptions the longer controllers go without a paycheck.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">The Federal Aviation Administration on Friday reported\u00a0staffing shortages\u00a0that were causing flight delays at a number of airports, including in Boston, Phoenix, San Francisco, Nashville, Houston, Dallas and the Washington, D.C. area. Airports serving the New York City area \u2014 John F. Hobby Airport are also advising travelers to arrive early to allow extra time for security screening.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Bush Airport says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox26houston.com\/news\/houston-airports-have-limited-tsa-checkpoints-weekend\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">TSA checkpoints will be limited<\/a> to Terminals A and E.
