The Vancouver Whitecaps look to complete the sweep of FC Dallas on Saturday night in Game 2 of their first-round series in the 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs.<\/p>\n
The Whitecaps used the home field to their advantage in the series opener last Sunday. After taking the lead early in the first half, Vancouver continued to press in the final 45 minutes, scoring twice more to pull away and grab a 3-0 win.<\/p>\n
The Whitecaps registered 22 shots in the match, while Dallas could not put together any offense on the road.<\/p>\n
The Whitecaps\u2019 loss to Dallas on the final day of the regular season certainly spurred the team\u2019s efforts in Game 1. The Whitecaps are looking to move on in the postseason for the first time since 2017.<\/p>\n
Dallas had some momentum heading into the postseason, pushing hard late in the season to qualify for the playoffs for the third time in the past four years. The club picked up points in nine of its past 10 matches.<\/p>\n
