The Eagles are working hard the weekend before the NFL trade deadline, and have made a trade with the Baltimore Ravens for former Pro Bowl CB Jaire Alexander. The Eagles received Alexander and a seventh round pick, and sent Baltimore a sixth-round pick in return.<\/p>\n
Reports suggest Alexander could play as early as Week 10 on Monday night against his former Packers team.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not really surprising the Eagles would look to add some depth to the CB room, especially because there\u2019s still no clear starter between Kelee Ringo, Adoree\u2019 Jackson, and Jakorian Bennett. DC Vic Fangio even talked about Cooper DeJean taking snaps on the outside in their base package, but admitting he\u2019s too good at nickel to move him full-time.<\/p>\n
Now, the very young cornerback room will get a veteran presence and someone who should at least be able to provide some consistency and continuity on the outside. Alexander only played in two games for the Ravens, 61 total snaps, and recorded five total tackles.<\/p>\n
