President Donald Trump<\/a> suggested that it is \u201cprobably illegal\u201d to be \u201c100% ANTI TRUMP\u201d in a rant about late-night TV host Seth Meyers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trump shared the tirade via Truth Social<\/a> on Saturday afternoon, after the TV personality mocked the president on Thursday\u2019s episode<\/a> of Late Night with Seth Meyers<\/a>. Trump declared that Meyers<\/a> \u201cmay be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI watched his show the other night for the first time in years,\u201d Trump wrote. \u201cIn it he talked endlessly about electric catapults on aircraft carriers which I complain about as not being as good as much less expensive steam catapults. On and on he went, a truly deranged lunatic.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cWhy does NBC waste its time and money on a guy like this??? – NO TALENT, NO RATINGS, 100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

The Independent has contacted NBC for comment. When asked about the post, a White House official referred The Independent to Trump\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n

On Thursday night, Meyers took aim at Trump\u2019s speech to members of the U.S. military earlier this week <\/a>on board the U.S.S. George Washington aircraft carrier in Japan. There, Trump asked the audience to tell him which type of catapult is better for aircraft carriers: steam or electric. Several audience members shouted back, \u201cSteam!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey’re spending billions of dollars to build stupid electric,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd the problem, when it breaks, you have to send up to MIT, get the most brilliant people in the world, fly them out, it\u2019s ridiculous.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe steam, they said they could fix it with a hammer and a blowtorch, and it works just as well, if not better,\u201d Trump continued. \u201cAnd I love the sight of that beautiful steam pouring off that deck \u2014 with the electric, you don’t have that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meyers played part of Trump\u2019s remarks for his audience before remarking: \u201cGuy spends more time thinking about catapults than Wile E. Coyote.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNext, they start complaining about how our troops don’t tie themselves to rockets anymore,\u201d Meyers added.<\/p>\n

Meyers, impersonating Trump, continued: \u201cWe used to strap our soldiers to the rockets, and they loved it, but then everything got woke and they said, \u2018You can’t tie a person to a rocket.\u2019 But we miss those days, and we’re bringing them back.\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Trump has taken aim at Meyers. In August, Trump went on a late-night rant about a \u201crumor\u201d he heard that NBC had extended Meyer\u2019s contract<\/a> \u2014 even though the network signed a four-year extension with Meyers last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has no Ratings, Talent, or Intelligence, and the Personality of an insecure child,\u201d Trump wrote at the time. \u201cSo, why would Fake News NBC extend this dope\u2019s contract.
