The 45th edition of the Ryder Cup is already creating huge excitement, just under three months away from the first tee shot at Bethpage Black.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keegan Bradley<\/a> is the captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup<\/a> team, but the recent chatter suggests that he may well play at Bethpage<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n

One of the vice-captains \u2013 Kevin Kisner<\/a> \u2013 recently said that Bradley should definitely play at the Ryder Cup<\/a>, despite the fact that he is the team captain.<\/p>\n

In fact, it has been suggested that all of the\u00a0top American players will want Bradley to play on the Ryder Cup team<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 39-year-old is currently sitting in ninth spot in the U.S. Ryder Cup team standings, and he\u2019s undoubtedly one of the most in-form American players in the game right now.<\/p>\n

Bradley has been in sensational form recently, and even if he doesn\u2019t qualify automatically, it would be a strange call to leave him out of the team.<\/p>\n

Golf fans think Keegan Bradley has hinted he will be playing at the Ryder Cup<\/p>\n

Bradley seems destined to play at Bethpage Black in September.<\/p>\n

And on Wednesday, a big announcement was made that has now convinced American golf fans that Bradley will be a playing member of Team USA.<\/p>\n

Gary Woodland<\/a> has been named as one of the vice-captains for the showdown with the Europeans.<\/p>\n

And some golf fans took to social media platform X to share their thoughts on the Woodland announcement.<\/p>\n

One golf fan suggested that Woodland being named as a vice-captain means one thing: \u201cYep Keegan is playing. I\u2019m ready to run through a wall.\u201c<\/p>\n

While another fan echoed exactly the same sentiment: \u201cTells me Keegan is playing at Bethpage which is absolutely the right move.\u201c<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a third golf fan commented along the same lines: \u201cSo Keegan is playing.\u201c<\/p>\n

And another alluded to the same thing: \u201cSo Keegs is playing?\u201c<\/p>\n

A fifth fan hinted the mere fact that there are now five vice-captains means one thing: \u201cWhy do they need 5?\u201c<\/p>\n

While another American fan said: \u201cHow many captains do you need? So obviously Keegan will be playing.\u201c<\/p>\n

Before a seventh fan simply said: \u201cKeegan playing.\u201c<\/p>\n

And then another fan said Bradley playing at Bethpage should be a no-brainer: \u201cSo does this mean Keegan is playing? I hope so! We need our hottest guys on the team!\u201c<\/p>\n

One thing\u2019s for sure right now, there aren\u2019t many American players who are performing better or more consistently than Bradley.<\/p>\n

What Bradley has said about playing at the Ryder Cup<\/p>\n

After his win at the Travelers Championship two weeks ago, Bradley responded when asked whether he could step down as Ryder Cup captain<\/a> in order to play.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI\u2019m definitely still going to be the captain. I\u2019m not stepping down or any of that. I\u2019ve put too much work into this, but I do have incredible vice-captains. Before I said where I definitely wasn\u2019t going to play, I didn\u2019t have any of these guys. Now that I\u2019ve been around them, Jim Furyk, Sneds and Kisner and one more to come, I feel a lot more comfortable with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

So it\u2019s clear that Bradley won\u2019t be stepping down as captain.<\/p>\n

As he said, he has a highly experienced group of vice-captains who will be able to take care of the necessary duties, if he is out playing on the course.<\/p>\n

That said, the Europeans will probably be delighted if Bradley acts as a playing captain at the Ryder Cup.<\/p>\n

In the modern era, the role of a captain is a monumentally difficult one, and it seems like the man from Vermont could well be underestimating that fact.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
