On Monday, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/airlines\/2025\/10\/27\/faa-issues-ground-delay-for-dfw-airport-due-to-staffing-issues\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/airlines\/2025\/10\/27\/faa-issues-ground-delay-for-dfw-airport-due-to-staffing-issues\/\">ground delay snarled flights bound for DFW<\/a>, delaying flights for an average of 18 minutes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The FAA <a href=\"https:\/\/nasstatus.faa.gov\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/nasstatus.faa.gov\/\">said Thursday\u2019s ground delay<\/a> snarled departures to DFW by an average of 21 minutes. The Associated Press reported earlier this month that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/airlines\/2025\/10\/08\/business-as-usual-at-d-fw-love-airports-as-government-shutdown-creates-ripple-effect\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/airlines\/2025\/10\/08\/business-as-usual-at-d-fw-love-airports-as-government-shutdown-creates-ripple-effect\/\" target=\"_blank\">FAA slowed takeoffs to Dallas<\/a> due to staffing shortages and faced staffing shortages at an air traffic control center in Dallas-Fort Worth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Dallas Love Field, the headquarters of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/place\/20be97be-55fe-dd09-4a58-bc78e7479c4f\/southwest-airlines\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/place\/20be97be-55fe-dd09-4a58-bc78e7479c4f\/southwest-airlines\/\" target=\"_blank\">Southwest Airlines<\/a>, did not appear to have impacted operations Monday afternoon.
