He returned to the sidelines in street clothes after halftime.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson left the game following a huge hit by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/sites\/uga-sports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Georgia\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/kj-bolden-75425\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">KJ Bolden<\/a><\/strong>. The officials later buzzed down to initiate a targeting review, which resulted in Bolden\u2019s ejection.<\/p>\n<p>With just over a minute to go in the first half, Wilson limped to the sideline. He later headed back toward the locker room and will now miss the remainder of the <strong>World\u2019s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party<\/strong> rivalry game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDallas Wilson, true freshman wide receiver, came out of the locker room. He\u2019s only wearing a right boot,\u201d ABC\u2019s <strong>Katie George<\/strong> reported on the broadcast. \u201cHe is out for the game. One of the marquee guys for DJ Lagway in the passing game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The play resulted in Wilson\u2019s first catch of the day, which went for seven yards. He left the field with just over a minute to play in the first half as Florida and Georgia eventually went into halftime tied, 10-10.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson entered Saturday\u2019s rivalry game with 11 receptions for 167 yards and three touchdowns. He was expected to take on a bigger role in the absence of\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/vernell-brown-iii-152985\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vernell Brown III<\/a><\/strong>, who was ruled out for Saturday\u2019s matchup. Dallas Wilson and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/eugene-wilson-iii-147523\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eugene \u201cTre\u201d Wilson III<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0were the only receivers to catch passes in the first half.<\/p>\n<p>Neither offense got much going in the second quarter on Saturday, but Georgia later got a late field goal to pull things to a 10-10 tie with Florida before the break. The Bulldogs totaled 197 yards of offense in the half, led by 119 on 14-of-21 passing from Stockton. He also threw for a touchdown, finding\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/dillon-bell-36974\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dillon Bell<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0on the opening drive.<\/p>\n<p>Florida, meanwhile, had 127 yards through two quarters\u00a0\u2013 though only 29 in the second period.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/dj-lagway-34744\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DJ Lagway<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0went 7-of-11 for 101 yards and a touchdown, and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/jadan-baugh-147679\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jadan Baugh<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0led the rushing attack with 41 yards.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/eugene-wilson-iii-147523\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eugene \u201cTre\u201d Wilson III<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0was the leading receiver with five catches for 87 yards and the touchdown. He was the only Florida player to record multiple receptions in the first half.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday\u2019s game marked the start of a new era for Florida, which parted ways with\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/coach\/billy-napier-131395\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Billy Napier<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0prior to the bye week.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/coach\/billy-gonzales-134825\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Billy Gonzales<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is now in as interim head coach, though he made it clear he still respects the job Napier did in Gainesville.
