PHOENIX \u2014 A woman is dead after a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in the West Valley on Friday, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The Surprise Police Department\u00a0identified the deceased woman as 65-year-old Janice Livesay.<\/p>\n

Details on deadly crash at West Valley intersection<\/p>\n

Police said officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Waddell Road and Sarival Avenue<\/a> around 10:29 a.m.<\/p>\n

Preliminary information reportedly indicates that one of the vehicles was traveling westbound on Waddell Road and trying to make a turn left onto Sarival Avenue. Meanwhile, the second vehicle was traveling eastbound on Waddell Road when it collided with the first vehicle, which was making a left turn.<\/p>\n

The drivers of both cars were taken to a hospital where Livesay died from her injuries.<\/p>\n

Police said that speed is a possibly a factor in the fatal crash.<\/p>\n

The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
