Micro Center to open new store in Phoenix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By USA Today Network via Reuters Connect<\/p>\n<p>Get in line, tech heads \u2014 Micro Center will soon open its doors in Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>The popular technology superstore is widely known for carrying a vast variety of computer parts and electronic devices. It markets itself as \u201ctech heaven,\u201d and its customers range from industry professionals and content creators to gamers and computer hobbyists.<\/p>\n<p>CEO Rick Mershad said in a statement that the company is \u201cincredibly excited\u201d to bring its store to the state. It will be located in Phoenix, which he called \u201ca fantastic city for technology and innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The news comes as the area emerges as the nation\u2019s chip manufacturing hub, and the store\u2019s opening is expected to see large crowds. Here\u2019s what to know.<\/p>\n<p>When does the new store open?<\/p>\n<p>Micro Center is officially opening its doors in Phoenix on Nov. 7.<\/p>\n<p>The retailer is also hosting so-called \u201cVIP Days.\u201d A limited number of customers can sign up to get early access to the new store on Nov. 5 and 6.<\/p>\n<p>What does Micro Center sell?<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the Phoenix store will offer more than 20,000 products.<\/p>\n<p>That includes high-performance computing systems, processing units, computer drives, gaming equipment and other types of hardware.<\/p>\n<p>Can I get my devices repaired there?<\/p>\n<p>Yes. The store will offer the retailer\u2019s signature \u201cknowledge bar,\u201d which provides on-site tech support.<\/p>\n<p>It will offer authorized service for Apple, Dell and HP devices, as well as same-day diagnostics and repairs. Services include virus removal, data recovery, laptop screen replacement and more.<\/p>\n<p>Where is the new Micro Center store located?<\/p>\n<p>The new store is located in Arcadia Crossing, a shopping complex near Thomas Road and 44th Street in Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>Other anchor tenants include Fry\u2019s Food &amp; Drug, Target, Five Below and Costco Wholesale.<\/p>\n<p>How big is the Micro Center store?<\/p>\n<p>The store spans roughly 35,000 square feet.<\/p>\n<p>How many people will work at Micro Center?<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the store will hire nearly 100 people.<\/p>\n<p>Where else does the retailer operate?<\/p>\n<p>Micro Center operates stores across the country.
