{"id":350498,"date":"2025-11-02T14:34:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-02T14:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/350498\/"},"modified":"2025-11-02T14:34:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T14:34:12","slug":"bureau-of-meteorology-calendar-features-amazing-photo-of-wa-thunderstorms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/350498\/","title":{"rendered":"Bureau of Meteorology calendar features \u2018amazing\u2019 photo of WA thunderstorms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">It\u2019s a fact almost universally acknowledged \u2014 there\u2019s nothing like a good storm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">And our State is home to some crackers, with dramatic WA thunderstorms featuring in The Bureau of Meteorology\u2019s 2026 Australian Weather Calendar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Captured by both professionals and hobbyists alike, this year\u2019s calendar showcases photographs of diverse weather from across the country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">One of the standouts, comes from right here in WA, the November photo taken by Michelangelo Svrznjak of a line of thunderstorms in WA captured at a bird\u2019s eye view from an aeroplane, inset.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Bureau of Meteorology National Community Information Manager Andrea Peace said the image \u201chad all the judges immediately hooked\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cFrom the moment we saw it, it was a winner,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cFrom a meteorologist\u2019s perspective, it is amazing to see the view from above. We can see what is happening from the ground and on the radar, but to have this perspective is something special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The 2026 Australian Weather Calendar is on sale now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It\u2019s a fact almost universally acknowledged \u2014 there\u2019s nothing like a good storm.
