\u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d ripped Zohran Mamdani for making empty promises \u2014 and mocked his appeals to white guilt in a blistering parody of the New York mayor\u2019s race<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mocking the socialist Dem\u2019s constant vacant smile, comedian Ramy Youssef rattled off a list of Mamdani pledges during his portrayal of the frontrunner on Saturday\u2019s NBC show.<\/p>\n

Asked by debate chair Kenan Thompson<\/a>, \u201cWhy would you want the worst job in the world?\u201d Youssef\u2019s Mamdani claimed he wanted to offer a \u201cbetter New York,\u201d before admitting his ideas were unlikely to happen.<\/p>\n

\"RamyComedian Ramy Youssef played Zohran Mamdani as \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d skewered the mayoral hopeful in the show\u2019s cold open. NBC \/ SNL<\/p>\n

\u201cFree healthcare, affordable housing, free WiFi,\u201d he said. \u201cAs mayor, can I make that happen? I\u2019m not sure yet. But together, we\u2019re going to find out\u2026 that the answer is no.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sketch, which also featured guest host Miles Teller as Andrew Cuomo and Shane Gillis as Curtis Sliwa, wen on to mock Mamdani\u2019s \u201chot girls for Zohran\u201d campaign<\/a> \u2014 depicting his supporters as gentrifying yuppies.<\/p>\n

Asked by the chair what his message to undecided voters was, Mamdani fawned directly into the camera while a \u201cheart\u201d filter came up on the screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey girl,\u201d he said. \u201cI know you got, uh, got a little white guilt for gentrifying that Spanish neighborhood, don\u2019t you? Why don\u2019t you vote for me?<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, you feel a little less bad about that chicken and rice shop getting turned into a Sweetgreen,\u201d he added. \u201cSo why don\u2019t you hit me up at the ballot box, girl?\u201d<\/p>\n

Polling data shows Mamdani received the greatest support in the Democratic primary in Ridgewood, Bushwick and Bed-Stuy, three neighborhoods synonymous with gentrification in New York.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Later in the sketch, James Austin Johnson reprised his role as President Trump to mock Mamdani.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd here we have the front-runner, Zohran Mamdani,\u201d he said. \u201cLooks like the SubwayTakes guy went to work at McKinsey.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, you feel a little less bad about that chicken and rice shop getting turned into a Sweetgreen. So why don\u2019t you hit me up at the ballot box, girl?\u201d he added, prompting a mock rebuke from chair Thompson.<\/p>\n
