{"id":350954,"date":"2025-11-02T19:17:27","date_gmt":"2025-11-02T19:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/350954\/"},"modified":"2025-11-02T19:17:27","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T19:17:27","slug":"suspect-accused-of-killing-man-in-hotel-parking-lot-was-jailed-and-then-accidentally-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/350954\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspect Accused of Killing Man in Hotel Parking Lot Was Jailed \u2014 and Then Accidentally Released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1762111047_739_image\" alt=\"https:\/\/img.particlenews.com\/image.php?url=2g2vYQ_16DWoSg600\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<p>California authorities are <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/murder-suspect-isaiah-jamon-andrews-accidentally-released-from-jail-11839362\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">searching<\/a> for a man suspected of murder who was mistakenly released from custody last week.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Oct. 22, Isaiah Jamon Andrews of Kent, Washington, was inadvertently released from the Martinez Detention Facility in Martinez, California, according to a statement from the Contra Costa Sheriff\u2019s Office issued Monday, Oct. 27.<\/p>\n<p>Andrews had been detained on both a juvenile warrant from Sacramento and an out-of-state arrest warrant related to a homicide investigation. The sheriff\u2019s office said it is now reviewing how the release occurred.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter staff realized Andrews had been released, we launched a search of the immediate area and confirmed that Andrews was no longer in the area,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said. The U.S. Marshals Service and local law enforcement agencies are assisting in the search.<\/p>\n<p>Andrews was <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/murder-suspect-isaiah-jamon-andrews-accidentally-released-from-jail-11839362\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">originally<\/a> arrested on Oct. 18 in California in connection with the fatal Oct. 15 shooting of a 20-year-old man in a Seattle hotel parking lot, according to an update from Seattle police. His arrest followed a vehicle pursuit involving the Contra Costa County Sheriff\u2019s Office and other California agencies.<\/p>\n<p>He was booked into Contra Costa County Jail on a temporary felony warrant for suspicion of homicide and was awaiting extradition to King County Jail in Washington to face murder investigation proceedings, Seattle police said.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities urge anyone with information about Andrews\u2019 whereabouts to call 9-1-1.
