Williams and the Bears engineered a strong opening drive, going 12 plays and 73 yards to tie things up at 7-7 with the Bengals, but their method for scoring their touchdown was a unique one thanks to a Ben Johnson trick play.<\/p>\n
On the double-reverse, wide receiver D.J. Moore got the ball and lofted a pass to the end zone, where Williams hauled in his first career catch.<\/p>\n
According to Stathead, Williams is just the third Bears quarterback to have a receiving touchdown in a game, and the first to do so since Matt Barkley grabbed a touchdown catch against the Minnesota Vikings on January 1, 2017.<\/p>\n
Quarterback Jim McMahon had a pair of receiving touchdowns with the Bears, including in the 1985 season against Washington.<\/p>\n
