Indianapolis led 7-0 and was in Pittsburgh territory before T.J. Watt’s recovery of his own strip sack of Colts quarterback Daniel Jones turned the game on its head. Pittsburgh tied the game shortly thereafter before taking the lead on a score set up by linebacker Payton Wilson’s interception of Jones deep in Colts territory. The Steelers added to their lead just before the half on a short Chris Boswell field goal.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Pittsburgh’s first touchdown was courtesy of running back Jaylen Warren, who found the end zone for the first time since Week 12 of last season. The Steelers’ go-ahead score was courtesy of an Aaron Rodgers short touchdown pass to tight end Pat Freiermuth.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In addition to forcing turnovers, the Steelers’ success in the first half was also a byproduct of the defense’s success against Colts running back Jonathan Taylor. The NFL’s leading rusher, Taylor rushed for just 23 yards on eight carries in the first half.\u00a0<\/p>\n
