The true freshman season of Florida Gators receiver Dallas Wilson<\/a><\/strong> appears to be over. Wilson, who suffered a foot injury in the first half of Saturday\u2019s 24-20 loss to No. 5 Georgia and did not return, is expected to miss the remainder of the year, sources told Gators Online.<\/p>\n

Wilson was injured on UF\u2019s last third-down play before the break and went to the locker room. He came back out in the second half with a boot on his right foot. Wilson had one catch for 7 yards before leaving the game. <\/p>\n

He has 12 catches for 174 yards and three touchdowns in four games played and started this year.<\/p>\n

Wilson, a touted recruit in the 2025 class out of Tampa, Fla., missed the first four games of the season and most of training camp with a left foot injury. He was in a hard cast and then a walking boot while sidelined.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Wilson had a record-setting performance in his UF debut against No. 9 Texas on Oct. 4. He caught six passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns in Florida\u2019s 29-21 win.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt meant everything,\u201d Dallas Wilson said after his first game. \u201cI had\u00a0[DJ Lagway]<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0pushing me on, I had all the coaches. It\u2019s just a good belief. Everybody believed in everybody, so it was good coming out there with all the guys.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

In that game, Wilson set the program record for yards, receptions and scores by a true freshman in their first career start.\u00a0He earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors.<\/p>\n

Wilson made the play of the game against the Longhorns with his 55-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was a crazy play actually,\u201d he said. \u201cI won off the line, off my release with the corner. Corner had fell to the floor. Lag it threw the ball up to me, caught it, and after that I just let my talent take over. It was just boom from there.\u201d<\/p>\n
