{"id":352242,"date":"2025-11-03T08:46:25","date_gmt":"2025-11-03T08:46:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/352242\/"},"modified":"2025-11-03T08:46:25","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T08:46:25","slug":"cpkc-train-derails-near-b-c-community-officials-say-no-danger-to-water-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/352242\/","title":{"rendered":"CPKC train derails near B.C. community, officials say no danger to water system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The B.C. government and other officials are in the process of cleaning up a <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/cpkc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Canadian Pacific Kansas City<\/a> train that derailed near the community of Cherry Creek west of Kamloops on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>CPKC confirmed the derailment to Global News, saying a preliminary assessment found a locomotive and approximately 17 cars had derailed just before 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The company said the derailment involved a mix of loaded and empty rail cars: four were loaded with fuel, five with gypsum, and one was loaded with pulp products.
