The first wave of high-profile signings in the LIV Golf era are running out of contract, and Patrick Reed has shed some light on his future with the circuit amid uncertainty<\/p>\n

Patrick Reed revealed he is looking to re-sign with LIV Golf<\/a> amid uncertainty over his future.<\/p>\n

LIV Golf attracted some of the biggest names in the sport following its inception in 2022, with the likes of Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, and Reed<\/a> signing lucrative deals. However, these agreements \u2014 largely four-year deals \u2014 are reportedly set to expire following the conclusion of the 2025 LIV Golf season.<\/p>\n

Dustin Johnson has sensationally decided to re-sign<\/a>, but others are still in limbo. Reed, who will compete in the DP World Tour playoffs next week, is one name looking to commit his future with his current deal set to expire.<\/p>\n

Reed turned his back on the PGA Tour<\/a> in 2022, resigning from the Tour in order to sign with LIV Golf. In an interview with bunkered.co.uk<\/a>, the American \u2014 who missed out on the Ryder Cup loss \u2014 is looking for a new deal.<\/p>\n

Asked about his future, Reed said: \u201cRight now, we\u2019re in the process of working with them and re-signing. I really enjoy being on LIV. I feel like it\u2019s a great place to play, and it\u2019s an awesome new format. I love having that team aspect of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a place I feel like I\u2019d love to stay, and my whole dream has always been to be a worldwide player, try to grow the game worldwide, and the only way you\u2019re going to do that is by playing worldwide. I feel like being a part of LIV definitely allows me to have that type of schedule to be able to play around the world and touch different parts of basically every edge of the earth.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fun. I\u2019m at the age where I can still do it, we\u2019re young enough to be able to travel around the world. It\u2019s only going to get harder as you get older and older, so I\u2019ve enjoyed it, I\u2019ve loved it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to getting back out there and playing, but really, it\u2019s the places like this that are special.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reed is currently defending the LINK Hong Open title<\/a> he won last year. He will then go out to Dubai to compete in the DP World Tour Playoffs, where Reed will conclude his 2025 schedule with a 31st start.<\/p>\n

Reed heaped praise on the DP World Tour, too: \u201cI\u2019m still a full member and I\u2019m an honorary lifetime member. I\u2019m playing next week at Abu Dhabi and the following week in Dubai, so that\u2019ll be 10 events I\u2019ll play this year on their tour. I\u2019ve always talked to them whenever I joined LIV, and they were in full support of me coming over and playing, and I\u2019ve always enjoyed showing my support as the American that comes over and plays on their tour, even when I was on the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cool thing is going over there, it\u2019s all friendly banter, and it\u2019s all those football chants. There\u2019s some that are trying to get underneath your skin, but some of them are so funny and so witty that I\u2019m just like, \u2018where do y\u2019all come up with this stuff?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully we can all figure this out sometime soon between all the tours and figure it out, because, you know, we need the guys all playing and whatever the back and forth between tours, at the end of the day the fans want to be able to get all the top players always playing together again, I mean, that\u2019s what the fans want.
