The third episode of The Road<\/a> aired on Sunday night, stopping in Dallas as the group of musicians battled it out to continue on tour with Keith Urban.<\/p>\n

In part two of \u201cThe Factory,\u201d it opened with the contestants at the TX Tea Room in Deep Ellum<\/a>, where they played pool and shared drinks before taking the stage.<\/p>\n

The second group consisted of Briana Adams, Cassidy Daniels, Forrest McCurren, Jon Wood and Billie Jo Jones, who performed in front of a Dallas crowd in hopes of earning enough votes to go to the next city. Previously, they were in Fort Worth at Tannahill\u2019s Tavern & Music Hall with 12 artists.<\/p>\n

The first group of six who performed at The Bomb Factory saw Olivia Harms get eliminated. The remaining five are Adam Sanders, Britnee Kellogg, Channing Wilson, Cody Hibbard and Jenny Tolman.<\/p>\n

Despite fighting illness, Billie Jo Jones invited her grandparents to see her perform in Dallas. The episode delved into her backstory, revealing that her mother wasn\u2019t around, and she was ultimately raised by her grandparents. Each musician had to choose a cover and an original song. Billie Jo Jones covered Reba McEntire\u2019s \u201cWhy Haven\u2019t I Heard From You\u201d and performed her own song, \u201cShe Did,\u201d which she wrote about her grandparents.<\/p>\n

In the premiere episode, Billie Jo Jones spoke about some of the hardships in trying to make it in country music. She performed 140 shows last year, some with a full band and others in an acoustic setting.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been told several times in this business, \u2018Look, if you had a male singer in your band, we would hire you.\u2019 Or you\u2019re over 30, you\u2019d better start thinking about something else, what you want to do with your life,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t like being told no. I don\u2019t like being told that I can\u2019t do something. I\u2019m ready to show Blake [Shelton] and Keith that you can be over 30, you can have a family and you can still chase your dreams and still succeed.\u201d <\/p>\n

You can watch Billie Jo Jones\u2019 performances from last night below. Jon Wood ended up getting eliminated, so there are nine musicians left as they head to Oklahoma City for another two nights of competition.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
