It\u2019s a match made in hella-cool heaven. The duo behind Tribeca\u2019s Frenchette<\/a> and Upper West Side revival Le Veau d\u2019Or<\/a>, chefs Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson, teamed up with indie film studio A24<\/a> (Moonlight, Past Lives) to create the buzziest downtown restaurant<\/a> this fall. Attached to the reopened West Village Cherry Lane Theatre<\/a>, every seat at Wild Cherry<\/a> is a good one, even the tiny horseshoe bar, so you\u2019ll have a high chance of celebrity-spotting from the likes of Bradley Cooper and Sabrina Carpenter while enjoying a varied menu ranging from frogs legs Kiev (truly) to standbys like burgers.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an utterly hip and boisterous dining room. The space<\/a> is warmly inviting, with dark woods, an archway with marquee lightbulbs, and green plush booths. This stylishness extends with delightful cherry-themed matchbooks, presented with checks.<\/p>\n

Reservations are already hard to snag<\/a>. While there is room for walk-ins, I still had to wait for my 7 p.m. reservation \u2014 it\u2019s bustling. So don\u2019t come here if you\u2019ve got a strict schedule. If you have to wait, grab a cocktail from the lobby concessions.<\/p>\n

If you do have a ticket for the theater, let your server know so they can time out your meal.
