\n\tJon Stewart<\/a> isn\u2019t going anywhere.<\/p>\n

\n\tStewart has closed another one-year deal to remain as one of the hosts and exec producers of The Daily Show<\/a> through the end of next year. It is his third such deal and takes him through December 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe move is not a surprise and was telegraphed in a recent live interview that Stewart did with The New Yorker\u2019s David Remnick last month<\/a>, where he told his friend, \u201cWe\u2019re working on staying\u201d.<\/p>\n

\n\tStewart hosts the show on Mondays with Ronny Chieng, Jordan Klepper Michael Kosta and Desi Lydic, as well as Josh Johnson, hosting the rest of the nights. He returned at the start of 2024 and signed a one-year deal this time last year.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tThe Daily Show has been performing well in the ratings recently and scored its best haul of Emmy nominations this year<\/a> with wins for Desi Lydic.<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, there have been some question marks over its future given parent company Paramount\u2019s decision to unceremoniously cancel The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which Stewart is one of the exec producers.<\/p>\n

\n\tStewart addressed this in his recent New Yorker interview. He said, [Paramount have] already done things that I\u2019m upset about.\u00a0But then if I had integrity, maybe I would stand up and go, \u2018I\u2019m out.\u2019\u00a0Or maybe the integrity thing to do would be to stay in it and keep fighting in the foxhole.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the days after the Colbert axing, Stewart told his employer to \u201cgo f*ck yourself\u201d and joked that after a summer hiatus, didn\u2019t know whether new owners Skydance, led by David Ellison, would \u201clet us back in the building\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tStewart exec produces The Daily Show alongside showrunner Jen Flanz and Stewart\u2019s manager, James \u2018Baby Doll\u2019 Dixon.<\/p>\n
