HOUSTON \u2014 Houston police are investigating after a man was shot in the chest Monday night at an apartment complex in northeast Houston.<\/p>\n
Lt. J.P. Horelica with HPD said officers were called to Bennington Street near Homestead Road shortly before 8 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When they got there, they found a man who appeared to be in his 20s being treated by HFD.<\/p>\n
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown.<\/p>\n
Investigators said the man was found in the parking lot of the complex, though it\u2019s unclear exactly where the shooting happened.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have units reviewing video and talking to witnesses, but we have really no information on what exactly occurred,\u201d Horelica said.<\/p>\n
Police said they do have some surveillance footage and are looking for more.<\/p>\n
